Sonya Deschamps

Originally from Greenfield Park, I hold a DEC in Arts from Collège André-Grasset. My artistic approach is self-taught, enriched by specialized training in portraiture and mixed media techniques (charcoal, oil, acrylic, watercolor, pyrography).

A poet at heart, I transmute my raw emotions into works where mystery emerges. My art probes the shadows of humanity—pain, duality, rebirth—by invoking timelessness. Each creature, each mythical figure becomes a mirror of intimate states: vulnerability, hidden power, metamorphosis. Through rich textures, ethereal gilding, and compositions that capture the invisible, I inscribe poetic expression at the heart of matter.
